I'm currently considering upgrading my studio monitors and acquire been looking at the ATC SCM45A Pro. Given their reputation for precise and flat response, I believe they could be a significant upgrade from my current setup. However, the price tag is notably high, and I want to ensure that this investment would be justified in terms of improvement in sound quality and mixing accuracy.
Can anyone here share their personal experiences with the ATC SCM45A Pro monitors? Specifically, I'm interested in insights into how they perform during long mixing sessions and their durability over time. Also, are there any particular room acoustics or setups that you've found to enhance or detract from their performance?
For those who shifted to ATC SCM45a Pro from other high-end monitors, was there a noticeable difference that justified the cost? Any input or comparison with other models such as Neumann KH 310 or Focal Trio6 Be would also be greatly appreciated.
Lastly, if you know of reliable places for purchasing these monitors perhaps at a lesser price than typical retail outlets, that information would be very helpful too.
