Hey everyone,
I've been working on my home studio setup for a while now, and I'm looking to upgrade some of my gear. I mainly produce electronic music, so I need equipment that can handle both recording and mixing tasks. Here's what I currently have:
- Audio Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen)
- MIDI Controller: Novation Launchkey 49 MK3
- Studio Monitors: KRK Rokit RP5 G4 (Pair)
- Headphones: Audio-Technica ATH-M50x
- DAW Software: Ableton Live 10 Suite
While this setup has served me well so far, I feel like there's room for improvement in terms of sound quality and workflow efficiency. Here are the areas where I'm considering upgrades:
Microphone: Currently, I don't have a dedicated microphone for recording vocals or acoustic instruments. Any recommendations for a versatile condenser microphone within the $300-$500 range? I've heard good things about the Neumann TLM 102 and the AKG C414.
Analog Synthesizer: I want to add some analog warmth to my productions and experiment with hands-on sound design. What are your thoughts on the Moog Subsequent 37 or the Dave Smith Instruments Prophet
