Anyone else here ever try to actually successfully program a Linn 9000, or am I just auditioning for a minor role in a horror movie every time I boot mine up? Seriously, is there a secret society of people who know how to edit sequences without the machine randomly deciding to Frankenstein your patterns together from another dimension? Did the manual’s authors get paid in interpretive dance instructions?
I’d like to hear everyone's worst “Linn 9000 threw a tantrum and erased my masterpiece just to spite me” stories-or maybe someone out there actually loves this thing beyond its chic, brick-like vibes and legendary meltdown potential. Did anyone ever get the crash fix? Or do we all just keep a bottle of whiskey nearby for the inevitable power-off resets?
Extra credit for panel-beating stories. This thing weighs more than my dog.
