I recently came across a Chappell piano while looking for instruments at a local store. From what I understand, Chappell was a London-based piano manufacturer that has been around since the early 1800s and produced pianos until about the mid-20th century. I'm intrigeud by the rich history but I'm not sure about the quality, typical characteristics, or value of these pianos today.
Does anyone here have experience with Chappell pianos? How do they compare in terms of touch, tone, and durability to other popular brands like Yamaha or Steinway? Also, if you have any tips on what to look for when evaluating a vintage Chappell piano for purchase, that would be greatly appreciated!
