I just finished gluing the neck of my guitar today. While the finish isn't perfect yet, I've made some progress with the red rubbing compuond and white polishing, which resulted in parts of it looking as smooth as glass. I believe I might have used too much Penetrol and possibly didn't sand it down enough because the surface didn't turn out perfectly smooth. However, those polishing pastes really seemed to help quite a bit.
I installed AL2 wound vintage pickups and opted for a roller bridge because I personally favor rollers. I also chose Grover tuners for their reliability.
This is my first time dealing with Tune-O-Matic bridges, so setting up the intonation is somewhat challenging given my lack of experience.
