Oh, I've tried the Alesis e-Drum Total Mesh myself and it's quite a decent kit for its price point! Durability-wise, it's held up pretty well so far — no complaints there. As for sound quality, it’s surprisingly good given the cost; just don't expect it to mimic those high-end $5000 sets perfectly.
For tweaking settings, definitely play around with the module adjustments; you can really fine-tune the responsiveness to your playing style. Also, if you're into recording, make sure to explore external sound modules or software for more versatility.
And hey, they say drummers are always losing their sticks... with an electronic kit, at least we only acquire to worry about losing our power supply!
